Galleria Cavour is a powerhouse of global luxury brands among the most exclusive in Europe. Situated in a modern and refined environment in the heart of the historic center of the city, transiting 3 million visitors a year.
Since its creation in the late '50s, Galleria Cavour has been part of the top commercial offer in Italy. The Fontana Sisters opened their first boutique here, after the creation of their headquarters in Rome; one of Ferragamo’s nephews creates in the Galleria one of the first franchising, the Swiss watch company Omega, inaugurates a brand (by then very rare) in the storefronts that now are found the brands of La Perla and before that of Gianfranco Ferrè. One of the city's major bakeries, Viscardi (the Cova of Bologna), occupies the storefronts of Aspesi, which preserves the original spiral staircase designed especially by Engineer Pizzighini. At the end of the fifties, there were also present the dealership of Lancia (in the space where today we find Bvlgari) and Cartier (where today we find the Bar Galleria Cavour 1).
A prestigious entrance was the one of Valentino in 1986, closely followed by Versace in '95, which realizes the second most beautiful shop in Europe after Milan, thanks to the sumptuous polychrome marble installed by the architects of the famous House.
The marbles are indeed a continuous concept: in fact, Bvlgari, which opened in '99, is made from the same glorious marble that characterizes its 5th Avenue store in New York. Even famous multibrands choose Galleria Cavour for their proposals: Bang Bang and Papillon amongst all. Other brands that alternate are Sonia Rykel and Trussardi.
In 2000 it was the time of Emporio Armani to open a megastore. In 2001, Diego Della Valle was introduced in the Gallery with the brand Tod's and Hogan; in 2008, the boutique was to be expanded and also house the brand Fay.
In 2011, Chopard opens the first Italian boutique with the same format as the one of Madison Avenue in New York. Historic also is the presence of Louis Vuitton and Gucci, while more recently debuted Prada, Miu Miu, Tiffany and Bottega Veneta. One of the last new entries is Brunello Cucinelli, in addition, with its beautiful cashmere products it is one of the most prestigious brands of the” Made in Italy” presence in Galleria Cavour.
